Looking Up Dallas County HOAs on hoa.texas.gov?

Texas is one of the few states with an official HOA registry. The Texas Real Estate Commission maintains hoa.texas.gov, where associations file the management certificates required by Texas Property Code §209.004. It is the authoritative place to confirm that a Dallas County association exists and to find its recorded declaration.

What a management certificate will not give you is the board. The statute requires the association’s name and mailing address, plus the name, mailing address, telephone number, and e-mail address of the person managing the association or its designated representative — but not the names of the individual board members.
